Tenacity as the name implies, is the ability to hold on with unshakable faith in order to be able to surmount every problem that may confront one, until a certain goal is achieved.

It is doubtlessly clear that we live in a world of jealousy and in most cases, we are faced with very unfair criticisms or comments from distractors which tend to discourage us from pursuing our objectives or from accomplishing our intentions.
It is a famous saying that: *"If you listen to the voice of the market, you would never be able to buy."* This in effect, shows us how resolute and determined one must be even in the face of abject criticism or opposition in order to achieve one's aim in life.

It is needless to recall how our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ suffered from the hands of the Jews whom he was destined to deliver. Though some opposed him, saying that, he was not the actual Christ and even went to the extent of calling him "beelzebub," Jesus the Christ pursued his divine assignment of salvation with focus as is written in John 3:16. Christ demonstrated unwavering tenacity and fortitude that made him to eventually conquer death in Calvary and to eventually save mankind despite the numerous challenges then. In his case, he was reputed to have bravely conquered "principalities and powers." This goes to show the extent to which enemies of progress and other negative spiritual and physical elements could strive to negate a person's advancement. Unless and until such a person can exhibit great courage and unshakable tenacity, he would hardly be able to achieve anything substantial in life.

In the physical, and especially in politics, leaders are usually perceived to be in exalted positions, and are therefore far too often than not exposed to jealousy, oppositions and unecessary criticisms. Donald J Trump, the current President of the United States of America (U.S.A), who is by extention the first gentleman of the world, from the very day of his election had his own citizens who demonstrated against him, calling him all sorts of names. While the opposition continued unabated, Mr. Trump continues to exhibit great tenacity by giving a blind eye to his critics, and striving relentlessly to fulfil his election promises. He would not be deterred. Indeed, by being very focused, Mr. Trump has refused to allow himself to be distracted by showing great degree of tenacity in political leadership.

In our homes, we see families split largely because the parents have not been able to exercise discipline among the children with unswerving courage. Some have let the just pretence of love for their children to mitigate the discipline required for their upbringing. This creates a great problem for society at large as neglected children prove in most cases to be drop-outs who engage in truancy.

*"Sheldon Adelson, the CEO of the Las Vegas Sands Corporation, was listed by Forbes as the sixth-richest person in the U.S. with a fortune of $30 billion. He started his business career at the age of 12, but by his 30s he had already built and lost a fortune twice. Despite his losses, his tenacity never wore thin and since the opening of Sands Macao in China, Adelson’s personal wealth has multiplied by more than 14 times," according to The New Yorker.*

*In the meantime, reflect on these words:*

“It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs, who comes short again and again, because there is no effort without error and shortcoming; but who does actually strive to do the deeds; who knows great enthusiasms, the great devotions; who spends himself in a worthy cause; who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory nor defeat.” - *(1)*

*Admonition:*
It would but fitting to conclude this objective view with an admonition on the essence of living a tenacious life for eventual success. There is a notable saying that: *"If at all you don't succeed, try try again."* From my own experience, I verily believe in the truism of this alter statement that *"The man who says I will try will reach the mountain top."* In all this, there is no doubt that tenacity is a basic requirement for success. Most of our best intellectuals and prominent citizens had failed examinations and had not succeeded in interviews. But because of their tenacity, however, these persons continued to persevere and by refusing to give up, they soon proved by being tenacious, to surmount the difficulties they encountered before and eventually succeeded. Many political leaders the world over had contested several times and failed elections. However, by persevering and by not giving up; they have succeeded gloriously in the end. This is the effect of 'tenacity' at work. You too could achieve your intention by being tenacious to pursue your desired goal. The excuse may be difficult and arduous, but with determination and resolve, you can be a success story in the end. Never give up, but be tenacious!

Obviously, God made man in his own image and likeness for specific purposes which need both fortitude and tenacity to succeed. If our forefather Adam had demonstrated 'tenacity' by rejecting the sinful persuasion of his wife Eve, who was subborned by the serpent to eat of the tree of Life, death would never have come to mankind.
In the same vein, we as human beings are expected to exercise faith, courage and above all resilience as the bastion of success and development in all that we do. In such, we are all expected to demonstrate adequate tenacity in all our human endeavours.

Important tips to know sooner than being late

1. Not everyone you will meet in life will like you, however that does not mean everyone dislikes you.

2. Family isn’t always a blood. There are people you meet in life who feel like home like your closest friends, pets, or even random strangers. Keep them close to your heart.

3. Sometimes, the person you want will not feel the same way. Most of the time it has nothing to do with you. Do not ever allow anyone to tell you what your worth is.

4. The easiest way to get into a relationship is to be fine alone.

5. Never take anyone in your life for granted because you never know when they could be gone.

6. Listen to the people in your world who tell you what you do not want to hear. They usually have your best interest in mind.

7. There will always be someone better than you, so don’t waste your time comparing yourself to anyone.

8. You should always look to those who have less than you and be grateful.

9. Fairytale lives do not exist. Perfect people do not either. Strive to live a life that is not boring and full of adventure.

10. You will never truly be happy if you hold onto all the things that make you sad.

11. If you are having a bad day, then remember it’s completely okay to cry. If you need to scream in a pillow do it. But remember to get up, pick up the mess you made, and move forward.

12. You are always responsible for how you act no matter how you feel. You should almost always be on your best behavior. Most people are not worth your time or energy.

13. Remember to stand up for yourself because no one else will. If someone calls you a slut, stupid, delusional, ugly, boring, or dull, then you better stand up for yourself and make that person speechless. Remember you do not need to yell, scream, or fight to prove your point.

14. The more you admit your faults and shortcomings, the more people will respect you.

15. We are constantly lost in our own thoughts, so for one day leave your phone, headphones, and electronics at home. See how much of the world you have been missing out on.

16. There is not a single person who wakes up happy all the time. There will be days of your life where you just exist. You should learn to appreciate the stages of being calm, satisfied, and not sad.

17. Learn to be happier with yourself because it is the longest relationship you have with anyone.

18. What other human beings think of you is none of your business.

19. The more you try to impress someone, the less that individual will like you. So, don’t waste your time. Be yourself and the right people will come into your life and appreciate you.

20. Change is always possible, at any time, at any moment.

      During our workshop our tutor shared a certain opportunity and me with madam Lisa we were interested to it, as we agreed and promised together to visit our leader in his office

     I can't forget this day due to marvellous things I got from both of them,   I and miss Lissa we got time to know well about the organization founded by Mr Wilhelm Oddo with his wife Carolyn ekariisima know as NIWEZESHE LAB

      Remember, its my first day and I'm not aware from  what is going on, that is why I went unpreparedness,

Whoaah, I paused leaving the chance to miss Lissa, she tried to explain a lot and the chance came again to me, I failed to choose the best idea but I tried to guess on this positive consultation!! And is where the idea generated

What I come to realize is that, among of most difficult questions I ever received is *what next?* and I'm going to it each moment
 
This question is more powerful and it can be applied anywhere to anyone and if you start meditating by asking this question is where you'll come to realize that, you are beyond normal as you deserve massive success

     I can't forget this day due to marvellous things I got from both of them,   I and miss Lissa we got time to know well about the organization founded by Mr Wilhelm Oddo with his wife Carolyn ekariisima know as NIWEZESHE LAB

      Remember, its my first day and I'm not aware from  what is going on, that is why I went unpreparedness,

    Without wasting time , Mr Oddo says "I remember I shared with you with that innovation challenge, right? Yeah..  I want to hear from you, now what area your ideas and what next?"

Whoaah, I paused leaving the chance to miss Lissa, she tried to explain a lot and the chance came again to me, I failed to choose the best idea but I tried to guess on this positive consultation!! And is where the idea generated

What I come to realize is that, among of most difficult questions I ever received is *what next?* and I'm going to it each moment
 
This question is more powerful and it can be applied anywhere to anyone and if you start meditating by asking this question is where you'll come to realize that, you are beyond normal as you deserve massive success

b/I'm going to disrupt my status quo           what next?
c/ my hobby is adventure, what next?
d/I'm in need of money, what next?
e/I'm living until today, thank God but what next?

And so much questions you can ask yourself
-- if you come to ask yourself those questions is where you come to realize that , you must change something or stop doing something

For more than a decade in my work as a psychotherapist, I helped clients identify their existing talents, skills and support systems. Then we’d figure out how to address their struggles by expanding on their existing strengths. For much of my career, I felt like this positive plan of attack was an effective way to help people overcome adversity.
But when I experienced tragedy firsthand, I began to rethink this optimistic method. In 2003 my mother died unexpectedly. Then two days before the third anniversary of her death, my 26-year-old husband suffered a fatal heart attack. Seven years later, I lost my father-in-law.
Throughout my grief, I realized that focusing on my strengths—and ignoring my weaknesses—had serious limitations. If I wanted to emerge from that painful period stronger than before, I needed to pay close attention to the bad habits that held me back. Letting myself feel like a victim, complaining about my circumstances and distracting myself from the pain might help me feel better in the short term but would only cause more problems over the long term.
My hardships taught me that it only takes one or two bad habits—no matter how minor they might seem—to stall progress.
Reaching your greatest potential doesn’t require you to work harder by adding desirable habits to your already busy life. Instead you can work smarter by eliminating the routines that erode effectiveness and siphon off mental strength. Here are the 13 things mentally strong people don’t do:

1. Waste time feeling sorry for themselves.

It’s futile to wallow in your problems, exaggerate your misfortune and keep score of how many hardships you’ve endured. Whether you’re struggling to pay your bills or experiencing a serious health problem, throwing a pity party only makes things worse. Self-pity keeps you focused on the problem and prevents you from developing a solution.
Hardship and sorrow are inevitable, but feeling sorry for yourself is a choice. Even when you can’t solve the problem, you can choose to control your attitude. Find three things to be grateful for every day to keep self-pity at bay.

2. Give away their power.

You can’t feel like a victim and be mentally strong; that’s impossible. If your thoughts send you into victim mode—My sister-in-law drives me crazy or My boss makes me feel bad about myself—you give others power over you. No one has power over the way you think, feel or behave.
Changing your daily vocabulary is one way to recognize that the choices you make are yours. Rather than saying, “I have to work late today,” edit that sentiment to “I’mchoosing to stay late.” There may be consequences if you don’t work late, but it’s still a choice. Empowering yourself is an essential component to creating the kind of life you want.

3. Shy away from change.

If you worry that change will make things worse, you’ll stay stuck in your old ways. The world is changing, and your success depends on your ability to adapt. The more you practice tolerating distress from various sources—perhaps taking a new job or leaving an unhealthy relationship—the more confident you’ll become in your ability to adapt and create positive change in yourself.

4. Squander energy on things they can’t control.

Complaining, worrying and wishful thinking don’t solve problems; they only waste your energy. But if you invest that same energy in the things you can control, you’ll be much better prepared for whatever life throws your way.
Pay attention to the times when you’re tempted to worry about things you can’t control—such as the choices other people make or how your competitor behaves—and devote that energy to something more productive, such as finishing a project at work or home or helping a friend with hers. Accept situations that are beyond your control and focus on influencing, rather than controlling, people around you.

5. Worry about pleasing everyone.

Whether you’re nervous that your father-in-law will criticize your latest endeavor or you attend an event you’d rather skip to avoid a guilt trip from your mother, trying to make other people happy drains your mental strength and causes you to lose sight of your goals.
Making choices that disappoint or upset others takes courage, but living an authentic life requires you to act according to your values. Write down your top five values and focus your energy on staying true to them, even when your choices aren’t met with favor.

6. Fear taking risks.

If something seems scary, you might nottake the risk, even a small one. On the contrary, if you’re excited about a new opportunity, you may overlook a giant risk and forge ahead. Emotions cloud your judgment and interfere with your ability to accurately calculate risk. You can’t become extraordinary without taking chances, but a successful outcome depends on your ability to take the right risks. Acknowledge how you’re feeling about a certain risk and recognize how your emotions influence your thoughts. Create a list of the pros and cons of taking the risk to help you make a decision based on a balance of emotion and logic.

7. Dwell on the past.

While learning from the past helps you build mental strength, ruminating is harmful. Constantly questioning your past choices or romanticizing about the good ol’ days keeps you from both enjoying the present and making the future as good as it can be.
Make peace with the past. Sometimes doing so will involve forgiving someone who hurt you, and other times, moving forward means letting go of regret. Rather than reliving your past, work through the painful emotions that keep you stuck.

8. Repeat their mistakes.

Whether you felt embarrassed when you gave the wrong answer in class or you were scolded for messing up, you may have learned from a young age that mistakes are bad. So you may hide or excuse your mistakes to bury the shame associated with them, and doing so will prevent you from learning from them.
Whether you gained back the weight that you worked hard to lose or you forgot an important deadline, view each misstep as an opportunity for growth. Set aside your pride and humbly evaluate why you goofed up. Use that knowledge to move forward better than before.

9. Resent other people’s successes.

Watching a co-worker receive a promotion, hearing a friend talk about her latest achievement or seeing a family member buy a car you can’t afford can stir up feelings of envy. But jealousy shifts the focus from your efforts and interferes with your ability to reach your goals.
Write down your definition of success. When you’re secure in that definition, you’ll stop resenting others for attaining their goals, and you’ll stay committed to reaching yours. Recognize that when other people reach their goals, their accomplishments don’t minimize your achievements.

10. Give up after their first failure.

Some people avoid failure at all costs because it unravels their sense of self-worth. Not trying at all or giving up after your first attempt will prevent you from reaching your potential. Almost every story about a wildly successful person starts with tales of repeated failure (consider Thomas Edison’s thousands of failures before he invented a viable lightbulb, for instance).
Face your fear of defeat head-on by stretching yourself to your limits. Even when you feel embarrassed, rejected or ashamed, hold your head high and refuse to let lack of success define you as a person. Focus on improving your skills and be willing to try again after you fail.

11. Fear “alone time.”

Solitude can sometimes feel unproductive; for some people, the thought of being alone with their thoughts is downright scary. Most people avoid silence by filling their days with a flurry of activity and background noise.
Alone time, however, is an essential component to building mental strength. Carve out at least 10 minutes each day to gather your thoughts without the distractions of the world. Use the time to reflect on your progress and create goals for the future.

12. Feel the world owes them something.

We like to think that if we put in enough hard work or tough it out through bad times, then we deserve success. But waiting for the world to give you what you think you’re owed isn’t a productive life strategy.
Take notice of times when you feel as though you deserve something better. Intentionally focus on all that you have to give rather than what you think you deserve. Regardless of whether you think you’ve been dealt a fair hand in life, you have gifts to share with others.

13. Expect immediate results.

Self-growth develops slowly. Whether you’re trying to shed your procrastination tendencies or improve your marriage, expecting instant results will lead to disappointment. Think of your efforts as a marathon, not a sprint. View bumps in the road as minor setbacks rather than as total roadblocks.
You’ll need all the mental strength you can muster at some point in your life, whether it’s the loss of a loved one, a financial hardship or a major health problem. Mental strength will give you the resilience to push through the challenges.
And the great news is that everyone can strengthen his or her mental muscle. Practice being your own mental strength coach. Pay attention to areas in which you’re doing well and figure out where you need improvement. Create opportunities for growth
